Philadelphia- Oracle/SQL Server DBA Needed- National Company

National Company located in the Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania suburbs (Plymouth Meeting) needs an individual who has solid Oracle DBA and SQL Server DBA
experience for a full time staff position.

JOB SUMMARY:
Installs, configures, maintains, recovers, and insures the performance of Relational Data Base Management Systems on multiple platforms. Examples of such systems include: DB2 on OS/390, ORACLE on UNIX systems, SQL Server on WINTEL systems.

Essential Accountabilities:

1. Installs, configures, maintains, and insures performance of RDBMS software
2. Analyzes and documents the logical RDBMS structures
3. Designs and implements physical RDBMS structures
4. Insures recoverability of data bases
5. Diagnoses and resolves RDBMS outages and failures.
6. Assist the development of disaster recovery plans.
7. Assist the development of appropriate testing methodology and migration

   paths for implementing changes.
8. Documents all configurations in writing and with flow charts.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is preferred.

Experience:
Expertise with the following functions demonstrated by at least five (5) years experience--
Installation, maintenance, recoverability and performance of Oracle and SQL Server
on NT and on UNIX
Background in PeopleSoft a plus
U.S> citizenship or permanent residency also required
