Now delete the log file & your done. For normal day to day operations the log file is absolutely useless. Actually I think the default log_status should be off. I have thousands of connection in my  db and  listener.log is growing very fastly. I  want  to flush it manaually  every time
I want to either stop it or flush it automatically .My db is 8.1.7 on win2k
Do u h ave any solution for this ?

What do you really want?
Log messages written to /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/network/log/listener.log
You could redivert this to /dev/null however this defeats the point.
You can rename it every day and archive off after 14 days.
