Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Oracle interface to DB2 on OS/390
Check out "Heterogeneous Services" and "Transparent Gateways" on http://otn.oracle.com . I believe that it is possible using a mixture of these two.. Heterogeneous Services are also described pretty well in the Net8 Admin Guide, Section 8 Advanced Net8 Features - Configuring Connections to Non-Oracle Database Services.

We are working on an application which runs under AIX, using Oracle which needs access to some data stored in a legacy app using DB2 on OS/390. Is it possible to create a DBLink in the Oracle database so that we can query from the DB2 instance?
thanks,
