Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> ODBC OUI install - where's my driver??
OK, perhaps I've really lost it this time. Here's my problem. I need a new odbc driver with an MTS patch. This apparently means I need an 8i odbc driver. The odbc drivers we had been using were 8.0 drivers or older, and could be installed from the old oracle installer.
The new drivers require OUI. I installed OUI on my pc (an NT box). Since I didn't de-install the old installer, it required a new home. Don't know of this is relevant.
The OUI install was successful. The ODBC install was a piece of cake. The OUI install inventory now shows that I have the new odbc driver that I need.
However, it doesn't show up when I bring up the odbc data source administrator. When I click the "drivers" tab, there's no such driver.
Has anyone seen such behavior. Any ideas? (Please don't suggest that I click the McDonald's employment link on the RTFM page. I'm already having a bad day.)
Thanks for any help!
