Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> package body without a header ?!
We just migrated a database, and as part of our validation we noticed that we had a package body in one schema with no package header.
This is the case both in the old db and in the new one, exp / imp faithfully recreated the decapitated package body in the new db.
Change Manager did not report it as a problem, since the situation is the same in both databases.
DROP PACKAGE drops both the header and the package body. DROP PACKAGE BODY drops just the package body.
I don't think there is a DROP PACKAGE HEADER command.
Would anyone know how someone could drop just the header of a package, but not the body?
Perhaps via objects privileges (?).
This is weird.
