Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RMAN error while TSPITR
Hi,
I encountered the following error while performing TSPITR using RMAN
Below is the script being executed
run
{
allocate channel c1 type disk;
set newname for datafile 3 to '/ora/data01/test/clone/admin.1.dbf';
recover tablespace admin until time "to_date('JAN 30 2002 14:53:56','MON DD
YYYY HH24:MI:SS')";
}
Teh error stack is as follows
RMAN-03022: compiling command: allocate RMAN-03023: executing command: allocate RMAN-08030: allocated channel: c1 RMAN-08500: channel c1: sid=9 devtype=DISK

# mount the controlfile
sql clone 'alter database mount clone database';

NLS_DATE_FORMAT is set to MON DD YYYY HH24:MI:SS for the target database. I even tried this but got the same error.
run
{
set until time '30-JAN-2002 14:53:56';
allocate channel c1 type disk;
set newname for datafile 3 to '/ora/data01/bkuptest/clone/admin.1.dbf';
recover tablespace admin;
release channel c1;
}
Any ideas about this one?
TIA
