Hi All,
This morning I exported a 817 database and changed the character set from US7ASCII to UTF8. The database came up fine and everything worked fine, but some columns where we had international characters, didn't show correctly. So I deleted data from web_users table. This table has a column called password which is encrypted data.
When I imported this table (exported done before character set conversion), all data came in fine, it was converted to UTF8, but somehow the contents of password column changed possibly due to conversion.
Question: How do I restore the table so that all columns except password columns are converted to UTF8 ?? This is the only 817 database I have, all others are 816. This database is outside firewall, so creating a new 817 instance will take a long time.
Thanks in advance for your ideas ... any help is appreciated.
Raj
