The
history for this question is incomplete but I will add this thought
anyway.
<FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff

When
installing on AIX boxes Oracle will not install java due to license
restrictions.
I am
not sure if your error is during installation or after. The HTTP server may not
work
<FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff
size=2>because there was no<FONT
face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2> jre or jdk in $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/. I had to
put <FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff
size=2>a soft link in
to my
/usr/jdk where I had installed java. Then everything worked.
Hope
this helps.

Environment was not found.
Hello Onder,
I have JRE Installed here is what I
get
$: java -versionjava version
"1.3.0_02"Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build
1.3.0_02)Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.0_02, mixed
mode)
There fore Java is
installed.
I think this might have something
to do with Oracle not able to create /tmp/Orainstall/jre/bin/jre on its own
even thought there are enough permission and disk space.
Any help is
appreciated

you need JRE
for installation. I think your system didn't installed or have a problem.
You can download , install and try to install Oracle
again.
