Seema,
with alter table deallocate, you can reclaim only the space above the high water mark in a segment.

The only way the high water mark can be moved downward is to truncate the segment or drop and recreate the segment.

I deleted millions of rows from diffrent tables and I have not seen any impact on database size.What I have to do to get that free space? Is it necessary to shutdown the database? Thx
