Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> slow sqlnet connections
I'm working on verifying things before an upgrade of our 8162 databases to 8172 and have been getting complaints of very slow sqlnet connections - near client application hangs, in fact. The users are still coming in through the 8162 listener to the 8172 test database. I suspect that the problem might be in the sqlnet layer since I can connect to the database at the host and run selects with no apparent slowdown. I set up an 8172 listener on a separate port to get some users to test that configuration. I'll know more tomorrow, but thought I'd throw this out to the lists to see if anyone has any suggestions. The server is on Compaq Tru64; clients on Windows 2000.
Thanks,
