I think there is a command like: alter user ??? default role all

I beg to differ. A default role is simply one that is automatically enabled (or "set") upon login. Any or all of a user's roles may be default (see the definition of user_role_privs).
May I suggest, Rachel my friend, that *you* RTFM? :-D
