Due apologies for DDLs

Hi

With due apologies to Perl fans and shell script fans,
I have failed to understand why
to obtain these DDLs
the import option of "show=Y indexfile=ddl_script.sql" is NOT used after a export with "rows=N"

Of course, 9i OCPs will swear by dbms_metadata!

where will that leave our 'perl expertise'?
