It's really not that difficult. You do HAVE TO READ the readme's and the info on Metalink first. There are some things that need to be done to install on RedHat. These are fairly well documented on Metalink. The installation is not a point-click-and forget type install. Once all the stuff listed in the doc's and on Metalink is done the install works well.
