Hi DBAs,

I want to know why Oracle LOGs index entries.

What will happen if Oracle sets NO LOGGING as default for INDEX Objects...Wont it be a performance enhancer (assuming all the underlying tables r always LOGed to enable RECOVERY ! )

Am i wrong ?

Arul.
