checking free space on hard disk drive from RDBMS (Oracle 8i)

Hi,

I would like to know if thwere is a way to check free space on a certain hard disk drive from stored proecedure on Windows NT and Oracle 8i. UTL_FILE does not seem to be able to do this for me.
