Errors running catdbsyn.sql

When I run catdbsyn.sql I get these errors

drop synonym DBA_CATALOG
ORA-01434: private synonym to be dropped does not exist

create synonym DBA_CATALOG for SYS.DBA_CATALOG ORA-01471: cannot create a synonym with same name as object

Why is this and what can I do about it?
