Hi, this is just an info or little trick for those who are configuring microsoft transaction server to work together with an Oracle database as the resource manager.
So, when you configure the oramts service on the MTS host, be sure, that the system's default locale is set to **!!!English!!!**, otherwise the oramts service is unable to store the encrypted password in the registry! And thatswhy the service won't start.
This is a really-really-really-really silly thing, and at one of our french customer, we lost a lot of time because of this (because they have french NT4 with french locale set by default).
So, use english servers everywhere, and you won't have silly problems ;)
