RE: Is CKPT process is Mandatory in 8i

Just to add some info - in 7.3, CKPT started up automatically based on the size of db_files in init.ora even if CHECKPOINT_PROCESS was set to FALSE. I don't remember the triggering default value - I think it was 25.
