Sorry, but there is no /SORT qualifier on DIRECTORY. "GOLD" key is PF1 ("Num lock" on non-LK keyboards that have proper keymapping). The old WPS keyboards had a yellow-gold cap for PF1, blue for PF2, etc. And you'll get an error if you try to RUN Autogen, since it's a command procedure and not an executable.
I think you need some WD-40 on your VMS... :)
BTW, to keep this on-topic, Oracle 8.1.7 runs great on VMS and I'm looking forward to trying 9i.
