Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: How do you change default oracle home?
The easiest way I know to do this is to right-click on my computer and then go to the advanced tab -> click on environment variables -> then make sure that your ORACLE_HOME environment variable is set to the same one you chose in the oracle home selector and also that ORACLE_SID is set to the correct sid. Subject: How do you change default oracle home?
Hi
I have Oracle, 8,8i,9i installed on Win 2k. I want to have 9i as default
oracle home. Where can I do that? I have tried using Oracle Home selector
which was
set to 9i but still defaults to reading service name from 8.0. Oracle help
says change path environment, variable to have 9i first. That does not work.
I could not find anwwhere is registry to set this. My ultimate goal is to
run some Pro*C programs and use Ora9i as the default home.
Thanks
Rick
