Objects with private database links imbedded in them are a big mess on imports. I remember creating public links with the same link name using 'dummy', where dummy just pointed back to the same database. I still had some errors and recompiling to do, but it was easier than the alternative.   Henry -----Original Message-----From: Koivu, Lisa [mailto:lisa.koivu@efairfield.com]Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2001 5:53 PMTo: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-LSubject: RE: Database link in the same DB Why on earth would you want to do that??  I mean I'm bored and all but it hasn't occurred to me to do this!
