Re: temporary tablespace not emptied , how to?

You don't want the tablespace to be emptied - thats the whole idea of temp segs. By leaving them 'hanging around' its much faster for session to re-use the segments (they don't need to be re-allocated/created etc).

You can monitor sorting with the v$sort.. views.
