New disks on AIX, things to monitor/checks??

Hi Friends,

We are going to add new disks other than existing disks!! My front end is baan, my system is AIX 4.1.5 with 200Gb data( I think its before AIX 4.3 version). My task is to test new disks performance like is it viable or not!! So what are the things I need to monitor?? or any checks I have to do?? I appreciate any light on this??
