It is possible to change your internal password. At the command prompt (DOS) issue the command
ORAPWD file=passwordfile password=newpassword entrries=no. of DBAs
e.g.
ORAPWD file=ABCSPWD.ORA password=oracle entries=5 (where you expect up to 5 entries for
Where ABCS = instance. Please give full path for password file.
