Standby database

Hi All,

I'm resaerching standby database on 8.0.5 here and have a question. Setting up the standby database is quite well documented, but how to configure the clients in such a way that they will first try the primary site and if that's not responding try the standby site. Oracle documentation did not give me satisfactory result.
