Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Oracle 8.1.7 on SuSe Linux
Thought I'd share this piece of info. Did the install thing for Oracle 8.1.7 on SuSe 7.2 (256 MB Ram, 512 MB swap).
No pathces applied to anything. First time that I tried to install got error:
SIGSEGV received at bfffdbc8 in
/opt/oracle/inst/Disk1/stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre/1.1.8/1/DataFiles/Expanded/linux/lib/linux/native_threads/libjava.so.
Processing terminated
Went through Metalink. Got a piece of info saying:
unset LANG
Tried this, install went smooth as silk.
