Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: hash join order
I cannot peoclaim it with absolute authority not being privy to Oracle internals; however it would make sense to hash the table b_tab.

Does anyone know how the operation below is performed? Which object has the hashtable built on it and which object performs the lookup against the hashtable once it's built?
| Operation | Name | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | 0 SELECT STATEMENT | | | 1 0 HASH JOIN | | | 2 1 TABLE ACCESS FULL |B_TAB | | 3 1 INDEX FAST FULL SCAN |PK_A_TAB | -----------------------------------------------------------------------
