Recovery Question

Hi List,

I am testing one situation where :

The database is in archive log mode,
I have a cold backup of all the datafiles, control files, redo logs, init file

The case is if I would to rebuild my database from the cold backup files and archived redo log files but I haven't the last updated control file (before the crash for example).

If I recreate a new control file and execute the recover command then i get

ORA- 00264 no recovery required

Is there any solution to resolve this situation ?
