Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> CLOB field question
Hi All!
Please excuse this very elementary question, but...
What is the best way to accomplish something like:
SELECT id FROM MyTable
WHERE ClobField LIKE '%XxxYxx%';
where ClobField is, of course, a CLOB. I see that I cannot do it with a simple select since what is in the field is the object locator and not the characters themselves. But is there a *relatively* simple way to do the same thing via sql or pl/sql?
TIA!!
Bill
