Depends on your transaction size, and how often you are filling the logs, start off with 10 - 20mb, and see what you get. Ideally you want a log switch every 30 minutes, less if you are concerned about replication and instance recovery time. They are easy to increase/descrease without restarting the instance, if they are too small, all you do is loose performance, and you can always fix that by adjusting the settings to fix it.

Friends :

I am installing the database Oracle 9i.
And it have suggested a parameter value 100mb for redo log file.

I am confused with this value, i think it is too big.

The blocksize is 8192
Connections simultaneous is 100

Where am I doing any mistake ?
