One way should work : DUL

You'll get this by phoning Oracle WWS and cost quite a few dollars but could well be worth it.
But maybe Oracle WWS can solve it some other way. I have heard of stories where they go in and change bits/bytes in datafiles (hexeditor) to combat corruption or just to make the DB come back up again so you can do export.

Ok, I've been trying to find extra work in Silicon Valley so I can pay my rent and I
just got someone, but I think they have a problem that will be difficult if not impossible
to solve. So I knew to turn to you guys.

Here's the problem. A guy was loading a blob into a table and something went wrong. When
they try to start the database they get

> 1) ora-01122 datafile failed verification
> 2) ora-01110 datafile "path"
> 3) ora-01200 Actual file sizeof 1641681 is smaller
> than correct size of
> 1664000 (2k blocks)

Does anyone know of any tricks to recover the database. I know I could drop the tablespace
and datafiles for it and open the database but they have to have the associated tablespace.
It contains all the data used by their application.

I thought about trying to increase the size of the file, etc, but.....

If I can even just get the data out that would probably be acceptible.

Thanks, Dave Turner
