Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: oracle dba and tuning books
On Sat, 21 Jul 2001,Jon Walthour scribbled on the wall in glitter crayon:
->Personally, for tuning, I would suggest "Oracle Performance Tuning Tips
->and Techniques" by Richard Niemac, et. al. In the DBA arena, I've never
->really found a good book that I could wholeheartedly recommend (sorry,
->Rachael, I've not gotten around to reading your book yet).
i have so i'll recommend it. ;-) i have used it to help train my junior DBA, and use it myself to look up things i don't do a lot. very useful book.
i also like the tuning 101 book. covers all that you need to know and give you a method to apply.
