My colleageu just got he's pc , after installing win2k ,when he try to use sqlplus to access our webdb which protected under Ms proxy , it give a tnsname error result ,

Why is it happen ?he can access other db within the LAN but why he can't access the webdb ?

when we using tnsping to ping the server , error is return , I check through he's proxy configuration and it found to be identical with my one. I'm running win98se .

Is it because of registry problem or win2k installation error ?
