Apps Connection Problem

Greetings,
I have just finished installing Apps11.5.2 on our test box running Solaris 2.7. After I logged on from the personal homepage as sysadmin, I tried to access individual modules and got the following error:

                          APP-FND-01508:Failed to Connect
                          Cause: AOL was unable to connect to the Oracle

database

All the services were started successfully. Database and listener is up and running and no error in the alert log.

Can anyone tell me what gives...
