Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: db links...
Hi,
Create {public} database link <LINK>
connect to <remote_db_username> identified by <remote_db_username_password>
using
'<connect_string_as_found_in_tnsnames_on_machine_where_you_create_database_link>';
There may be some issues with global name settings that may force you to name the database link exactly the same as the global name of the remote database.
