Raghu,
You should be able to bring it back to original size if the segments in that part are not in use. Oracle8i does not release the temp segments once used until the database is shutdown(someone please correct me coz we have had this situation). Also if you add any file for the increasing the size then you won't be able to drop the same without droping the tablespace.

Hi Friends
I need to rebuild the Indexe of 6Gb size. For that When Iam doing rebuild option Its saying temp space insufficent!! So right now my temp tablespace size 1.75Gb spreading around 4 datafiles across two disks, I can't touch theose disks because of full. So I need to add another datafile/files to support my rebuild for that I need to increase temp tablespace, But can I bring it back to orignial 1.75Gb??? of temp tablespace after my rebuild is completed.
