Auditors are likely folks originally trained as accountants and CPA's.
This reminds me of the days when I fixed computers for a living. The bean counters decided that $0.25 per board could be saved in manufacturing by not putting test points on the boards. ( A pin soldered to the board for attaching oscilloscope leads, etc )
Their reality is on another plane. My preference is that it's one headed out of town.
