EMN0, of which I had never heard before, is according to V$BGPROCESS an 'even monitor process' (guess it's a kind of sub-pmon or sub-smon). It doesn't seem to be started by default. If I were you, I would first look in background_dump_dest for a trace, because if it died it probably didn't die without a last phrase. If the trace file is not clear enough (likely), send it to the Oracle Support to keep them busy and in the mean time try to find out what makes the b*****y EMN0 start and check whether you really need it.
