Look into Oracle Enterprise Manager 2.1 and greater. Works great, we use it for notification all the time, it can email and/or page on certain events. You can also include fix-it jobs that kick off on a particular event. Good stuff.

Dear DBAs
Is anobody here setup email alert sent to exchange server from unix box on Oracle or Oracle application server. Any suggested reading, white paper I can get.
