Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Totally OT -- big foot tracks found in northern Ontario
This is bizarre, I thought this was a 70s fad. I heard this on CBC radio last night.
Natives yesterday reported big foot tracks found in northern Ontario. 14 inches long, 5 inches wide, 6 feet apart.
The band chief said that they were definitely not bear tracks, and that the person who noticed the tracks also had a stick thrown at him at one point.
Their lore tells them that if you leave them alone, they won't bother you. So having a stick thrown at him, the native left and went back to report to his chief.
Staff from the provincial equivalent of Parks Canada also saw tracks, a few miles away. The band chief says that the government staff took pictures of the tracks they saw.
The chief's attitude was that this isn't a big deal, they had track sightings in the 50s as well. "But it's sure important to all the media people who called me today", he said.
