On 8.0.5 you can use dbv to check the archived log files, it's undocumented (it does work on NT). It can help but no warranties. Contact support.
Another way is dump them into a file trace file (or make a temporary pipe) and check an archived redo log -- it's a bit difficult (depending on how heavy loaded you DB) but can be done too.
