Personally, I don't think you should bother looking at upgrading OEM. Granted the newer version has a vast number of new features - but these are mostly related to > Oracle 8. The new version is a lot more cumbersome than the 1.6 version as it now runs in java also. As far as I'm aware, all versions of OEM are backwards compatible to at least 7.3, and I *should think* 7.2 but am not sure. The current version of OEM is 2.2 by the way.
If you are going to be upgrading to Oracle 8 in some shape or form, OEM 2.x will be supplied along with it.. Upgrade then..

I currently have OEM version 1.6.0. I am connecting to databases that are at version 7.2 and 7.3.3.6 I would like to know what the most current version of OEM is that still supports those "older" versions of Oracle? Is there a compelling reason to upgrade OEM?
