Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Can there be Java conflicts?
Just out of curiosity, what would happen if I was to install the SUN JDK on a server that has 8i on it?
Would the Oracle one (8.1.6.0.0. or whatever) and the SUN ones interfere with each other?
I know next to nothing about Java.
Likewise, if I was to install the SUN HotJava Web browser on a machine that has Oracle 8i on it, would it crippled the database?
Would they interfere with each other only on NT, or would the same thing happen on UNIX?
