Something else I forgot to mention in my previous e-mail on this topic.
Maintaining a website, or a mailing list, is an arduous task that provides great benefits to many people at little or no cost to them. I have been a member of the ORACLE-L list (with gaps in membership) for many months and have never regretted it.
It is also important to remember that Jared Still puts in a great deal of (unrenumerated) hours to maintain this list and make sure it stays on focus. So remember this when you have the chance to to Jared Still a favour. To use a popular expression, we all owe him big-time.
Bruce Bergman also deserves our thanks for making archives of this list available at the fatcity website.
And finally, thank you to all the posters who take their valuable time to answer the questions here. You know who you are, so I'm not going to try to list names, because I'm sure I would forget someone and I would hate to receive a cream pie in the face at an Oracle conference some day.
