I really did not understand what you did. A little bit more details please. My understanding of the question was - how to install Oracle client on multiple Windows machines.

I used response file for 8.1.6 on Solaris 2.6 with xterm from a windows
machine.
Works great!
All through a sequence of commands. No mouse clicking. Now going to machine. No taking out putting in CDs...
