Jared is correct. I sent another e-mail adding that but it didn't go through (mail error). Sorry for the bad information. By the way, my previous e-mail contained an additional question that I will reproduce below.



Sorry, in my previous answer I forgot to say that when you grant role RESOURCE to a user, the user also gets assigned DIRECTLY the system privilege UNLIMITED TABLESPACE (see dba_sys_privs for that username). I would guess that this happens because of some code in a system package like dbms_standard, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how UNLIMITED TABLESPACE gets granted to the user along with the role RESOURCE ?
