Another thing I have wondered about:
Why doesn't Oracle (or other RDBMS vendors) enforce normalization in it's products?
Since they don't enforce normalization, does that mean it isn't
important? Also, I note that there is very little mention of
normalization in the Oracle dba documentation. Maybe it would be an
"impediment" to the spending of

Except, of course, for the extremely expensive "enterprise" development/design products, which of course *do* mention normalization.
