Use the function SUBSTR( TO_CHAR ( date_column, 'DAY' ),3) = 'FRI' in your where clause

Now I know this must have been discussed here before, but how do you construct SQL to get all the fridays between 2 dates:

Sort of like:

SELECT some_date_column (want to see only fridays) FROM some_table
WHERE...? Thanks a lot.
