I would think that it is definately in a strange state. I know that if you did this with NT, meaning the database was running and you copied the files to another location. I am pretty sure you wouldn't be able to get it to run, I am not even sure that it would copy all of the files. Kev

The best thing you can do is shut the database down. Do a cold back and through the other one away. Just because you did a backup doesn't mean that you database is in a strange state. Just start over.
