ora-12547: TNS: lost contact

Oracle 8.1.5, Solaris.

The "oracle" user has no trouble connecting to the local database via the bequeath adapter.

However, another user, using the same .profile as the oracle user, gets:

SQL*Plus: Release 8.1.5.0.0 - Production on Wed Feb 7 15:30:21 2001

ld.so.1: oracleipdevla: fatal: libucb.so.1: open failed: No such file or directory
ERROR:
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact  

Connecting via SQL*Net is successful.
